Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept health insurance?
Lydian Chiropractic is not part of any private health insurance network, and does not accept any private health insurance. If you have PPO (preferred provider organization) health insurance that covers out-of-network chiropractic treatment, we will provide you with a walk out receipt to file for reimbursement. Many of our patients get reimbursed this way. Check with your health insurance carrier about your policy.
What is Axial Stability Method® chiropractic?
Axial Stability Method chiropractic treatment is a precise, gentle, low-force chiropractic technique that treats biomechanical injury and works by restoring the structural stability of the core of the body. A highly effective tool for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction, it is also a surprisingly effective intervention for learning disabilities, behavioral problems, developmental delays, clumsiness and poor coordination, and sensory processing disorders in children and adults alike. Axial Stability Method is the exclusive chiropractic technique offered at Lydian Chiropractic.
Is Axial Stability Method chiropractic safe?
Yes. The worst thing that happens to patients is they might not get better. During the initial stabilization course of treatment, sometimes patients may experience exacerbations or short lived regressions. These clear up by the end of the course of treatment.
Does Axial Stability Method treatment hurt?
No! Our chiropractic treatments are so gentle that you hardly feel anything. Children love getting their treatments - it is one of the few health care settings where nothing hurts! And you get better.
How long will it take to feel better?
Everyone who is treated with Axial Stability Method chiropractic is different. Some people notice significant changes after the first treatment. Treatments have a cumulative effect, and most people experience significant improvement at least by the end of a series of 8-10 treatments.
Who should seek chiropractic care?
Anybody who has a spine! Many common conditions, both chronic and acute, can benefit from Axial Stability Method chiropractic including:
• Migraines, headaches, back & neck pain
• Stiff joints, aching shoulders, arms and legs
• Sciatica, numbness and tingling
• Repetitive stress injury, poor posture
• Low immune functioning, chronic illness
• Poor balance, clumsiness
• Gross and fine motor coordination
• Learning disabilities
• Sensory integration and processing disorders
• Slow processing and loss of brain integration
• Child developmental delays
• Child behavioral problems
Can children benefit from chiropractic treatment?
Axial Stability Method chiropractic is exceptionally well-suited to children! Because the treatments are so gentle, most children love their treatments. Our treatments have often been remarkably helpful for children with developmental delays, behavioral problems, learning difficulties and sensory integration problems. Because a child’s nervous system is more flexible, children often respond very rapidly to treatment.
